Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an extended recovery setting, monitoring and managing post-procedure patients through the recovery process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in alignment with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Adhere to all holiday scheduling requirements, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Recovery (PACU) or strong Acute Care nursing
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a post-anesthesia care or extended recovery unit
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in an acute care environment
- Familiarity with recovery-specific monitoring equipment and protocols
