Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation, Ottumwa, Iowa. The registered nurse will provide care to primarily adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include supporting patients with neurological, trauma, burn, gait-training, strengthening, and wound-vac needs while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week; Monday or Tuesday start dates are available.
- Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult reporting
- At least 1 year of acute-care experience
- Completion of required background screening, including Iowa-specific criminal and child-abuse checks, before the start date
- Completion of a 10-panel drug screening, including opiates
- Titers dated within the past 12 months for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and tuberculosis
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required. Medical-surgical or long-term acute-care experience is accepted.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Inpatient rehabilitation setting with 13 beds
- Typical patient assignment is 1 registered nurse to 6 patients
- Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients
- Lift equipment is available
- Weekend coverage is required every other weekend
- No call requirement
- Start date: 11/30/2026
- Assignment end date: 01/27/2027
