Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor. The registered nurse provides care for patients on medical-surgical units while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting patient care, developing individualized care plans, supporting patient and family education, and promoting patient safety and quality outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Assignment Dates: 11/16/202602/15/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Current Illinois registered nurse license; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; graduation from an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process; administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable laws; documenting according to standards of care; developing, initiating, and executing individualized patient care plans; providing patient and family instruction; participating in unit performance-improvement activities; supporting patients longitudinal plans of care; applying critical thinking to patient safety and experience; and escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
