Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) position located at a high-acuity, fast-paced medical intensive care unit. This role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex conditions, including respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, cardiac arrest, COVID-19, and other life-threatening illnesses. The candidate will provide advanced patient care, perform procedures such as central and arterial line placements, and manage ventilated patients in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts during the day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license required at submission), ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, minimum 2 years of overall ICU medical experience, 1 year of charge experience, 2-3 patient ratio experience, and proficient with charting in Epic.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, ventilator management, and stroke-specific education.
- Float: Float rotation may be required; candidates should be prepared to float to telemetry units when necessary.
- Additional Information: The unit cares for medically complex, critically ill adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 25. Responsibilities include bedside procedures, ventilator management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The shift start date is 10/05/2026, with an end date of 01/04/2027, and candidates must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays. References covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years are required, and previous experience working at a similar facility is a plus.
