Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
- Recent Med/Surg Tele or medical-surgical telemetry experience preferred
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an acute care setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members to support safe patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and escalate care when needed
