Job Description
As a dedicated member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) contributes professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of care to patients within a Med Surg setting. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety protocols.
Shift Information
- Shift start time: 1900
- Flexible scheduling options: 3x12 or 4x12 accepted
- Weekend commitment: Every other weekend
- No call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across multiple locations
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
Holiday Requirements
The traveler will be required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. A limit of 1 day off request is permitted between November 25-29 and December 23-27.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience (required)
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (required)
- Preferred experience with heparin drips
- First-time travelers welcomed
Certification Requirements
- Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; will also accept ARC or U.S. military certificates)
Dress Code
Navy blue attire is required for all staff.
Orientation Dates
Orientation will be available on October 26 and November 9.
Location
This position is located in Sioux City, IA, which is recognized as a Level 3 Trauma Center.
