Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical unit. This position involves working night shifts and requires availability every other weekend.
Shift Details
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in a Medical Surgical environment. Key responsibilities may include:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring patient conditions and recording vital signs
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educating patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient records
Requirements
- Current Compact or AL RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Ability to handle a patient ratio of 6:1
