Job Description
Vernon Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
The RN will provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby units, ensuring safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth and recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions.
- Assist with childbirth and delivery procedures.
- Provide postpartum care and recovery support.
- Deliver newborn assessments and mother-baby care.
- Educate mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and quality standards.
