Job Opportunity – Obstetric Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Georgia
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; one 12-hour call shift per schedule; floating within service line to Labor & Delivery, Antepartum Unit, and OR as needed
Highlights:
- Specialized Obstetric Emergency Department caring for neonates through adults with an average daily census of 15 patients
- 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 6-room unit with strong interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams
- Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout the facility
- 13-week assignment with up to 7 days of time off available; must work assigned major holidays per facility policy
- Comprehensive 36-hour orientation program with specialty-specific modules and unit-based training
- Opportunity to work autonomously in triage and circulate roles with diverse obstetric patient population
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with active Georgia or Compact state license
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a non-teaching facility setting
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP (all required)
- Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams autonomously
- Experience with circulating and triage functions in obstetric settings
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required
- First-time travelers accepted with qualifying L&D experience
- Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
