Job Summary
Post Partum Floor Nights. This role provides nursing care to postpartum patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries in an acute-care setting. Common patient conditions include preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, and stable post-hemorrhage recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Four weekend shifts are required during the assignment, with holidays as needed.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past 6 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Active professional license required for submission
- Additional Information:
- Provides care for postpartum patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Typical patient conditions include preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, and stable post-hemorrhage recovery
- Typical assignment ratio is 3 couplets to 1 nurse
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- A floor-specific orientation of approximately 3 shifts may be provided as needed
- An acute-care setting with in-house physician coverage and 24-hour respiratory therapy and pharmacy support
