Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology. The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care through assessment, care planning, medication administration, education, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services. The role supports safe clinical practice, professional development, evidence-based care, and collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; six months to three years of nursing experience; five or more years of direct experience; demonstrated collaboration, communication, judgment and critical thinking, organizational understanding, planning, problem-solving, quality, reliability, and safety and risk management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting; Bachelor of Science in Nursing; professional certification in a related nursing specialty; relevant skills certification, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), as required by the assigned unit.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with call one day per week and every third weekend.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; educating patients and families; safely administering medications; supporting effective resource utilization; complying with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements; participating in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives; completing professional development and mandatory education; integrating current evidence into practice; and supporting the learning environment for new employees and students.
