Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of patient care within the scope of nursing practice.
- Provide patient education based on individual healthcare needs, treatment plans, and medical conditions.
- Transcribe, interpret, and implement physician orders and established clinical protocols in accordance with facility policies.
- Coordinate care with the Medical Oncologist and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities to ancillary personnel and coordinate healthcare team activities.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, standards, and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and protect confidential patient information.
- Deliver compassionate, professional, and high-quality care while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Experience
- Previous hospital clinic experience preferred.
- Previous Oncology nursing experience preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wyoming, in good standing with the Wyoming Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, or must obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required, or must obtain within one year of hire.
- Required credentials must be maintained throughout employment.
