This travel nursing position supports a 48-hour neuro intermediate care unit assignment caring for patients with medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac intermediate care, neurological, and cerebrovascular accident diagnoses. The role includes participation in patient care, collaboration with students and new hires, and potential charge responsibilities.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of two years of professional experience; active Virginia or compact nursing license required by the start of the assignment; current nursing license documentation and skills checklist required at submission.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The assignment runs from 11/30/2026 through 02/27/2027. Orientations occur every other Monday. Travelers must work at least one major holiday, including Christmas Day and/or New Years Day. Weekend-only requests may be considered, but block schedules cannot be accommodated. The unit generally attempts to schedule two to three weekends per month based on operational needs. Charge responsibilities may be required. The position involves caring for a mixed patient population, including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac intermediate care, neurological, and cerebrovascular accident patients. The healthcare provider is a teaching environment in which team members support students and new hires.
