ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care in a critical access setting. This position includes floating between units based on the needs of the organization, as well as potential on-call duties due to changes in census.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2.
- Float to other areas as needed, offering support across various units.
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid nursing license.
- Experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
- Must have a vehicle for travel between locations as required.
Additional Information
- Floating to various units based on skill sets is common for this role.
- Selected candidates may receive additional incentives for floating to specific areas.
- Hotel accommodations will be provided for consecutive shifts when floating.
Work Schedule
This position operates on a night shift schedule, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week.
Facility Details
Type of facility is a critical access facility with a total of 23 staffed beds. Charting will be conducted using Epic systems. There is no parking fee for staff members.
