Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed ICU with a 2:1 patient ratio, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, Afib RVR, CHF, and chronic renal failure
• Utilize critical thinking skills in a fast-paced critical care environment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Magic EHR
• Float to MedSurg and Behavioral Health units as needed
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications are required prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start
• Handle with Care certification required prior to start
• Completion of an AHA EKG/Rhythms course
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of critical care experience
• Experience with Meditech Magic EHR
• Familiarity with common ICU diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac conditions
• High energy, team-oriented personality with the ability to take direction in a dynamic environment
