Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including telemetry monitoring, BiPAP management, therapeutic phlebotomy, and paracentesis support
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed per unit floating policy
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and annual NIH certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing; Kentucky license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification required (must be recertified annually)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CPap and BiPap management and port access
• Proficiency with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, and surgical drains
• Experience with central lines, blood transfusions, ventilator management, and post-dialysis assessment
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
