Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in an unspecified area. The role involves providing critical care for adult patients with complex needs, including ventilated patients, post-surgical patients, and those requiring advanced monitoring and support. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) are required.
- Education and Experience: 24 months of recent/current ICU experience required; 24 years of experience specified; Iowa license or compact/multistate license required.
- Schedule: Days shift, with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Requirements: Active Iowa license, documentation of Driver's License, and skills specific to ICU/Nursing discipline required.
- Responsibilities include managing ICU patient care involving ventilators, Bipap, Airvo, and various drips such as propofol, leveophed, diliazem, insulin, and heparin.
- Candidate must demonstrate experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system, and are expected to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
- Fluency in telehealth measures and certifications, such as NIHSS, preferred but can be obtained during onboarding.
