Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: September 23, 2026
Location: Western North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Every other weekend required; must be flexible to meet department needs; no block scheduling available
Highlights:
- Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department at a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
- High-volume facility serving over 100,000 visits annually, including pediatric emergency services
- 4:1 patient ratio for medical cases; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Cerner EMR system with GE monitors and Baxter pumps; full tech and unit clerk support on days and nights

Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Must have the following certifications before start date: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC
- CPI certification required before date of hire
- Preferred: Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED; previous HCA experience a plus
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department (no floating outside the ED)
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
