Job Description
An Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides immediate and critical care to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting rapid assessments and triage of patients.
- Stabilizing patients and administering necessary treatments.
- Assisting physicians during medical interventions.
Shift Notes
This position is for the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with 36 hours guaranteed per week. Weekend shifts are required.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an Emergency Room setting is required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Preferred
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - Preferred
- Technical Skills: Experience with Cerner is required.
- License: A valid and active Michigan nursing license is required at the time of submission.
Additional Information
The dress code for this position includes grey scrubs. A skills checklist must be completed within one year of application for nursing specialties.
