Job Opportunity – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 30, 2026 (ASAP start preferred)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10 shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Call requirements include one week of weekday call every two months (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM following regular shift) and one weekend of 24-hour call every two months. Call volume is generally low; most call-ins are for pacemaker cases averaging approximately 2 hours.
Highlights:
- Work in one of the region's largest and most advanced Electrophysiology programs within a leading cardiac hospital
- Perform specialized procedures including cardiac ablations, device implantations, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure
- Utilize Epic EMR and state-of-the-art mapping systems with the latest cardiology technologies
- Collaborate with world-renowned electrophysiologists in a multidisciplinary team environment
- 6-bed unit with daily census of approximately 22 patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- First-time travelers accepted; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Current RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience required
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Ability to complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting requirements upon contract signing
