Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: the healthcare provider. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The ER RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for diverse patient populations, ensuring compliance with all standards of practice and safety protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week, working every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing; Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); 2+ years of emergency department experience; Skills in collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organization, planning, problem-solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
- Additional Information: The RN will promote a caring and healing environment, educate patients and families, utilize pharmacology knowledge for medication administration, participate in professional development, support nursing governance, and perform duties related to shift coordination.
