Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina**Start Date:** September 23, 2026**Location:** Asheville, North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Rotating schedule including every other weekend; flexible assignment across all ED sections; no block scheduling; 4:1 patient ratios (medical) and up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)**Highlights:**- Work in a 101-bed Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with over 100,000 annual visits- Join a Magnet-designated facility recognized among America's top 1% hospitals for clinical quality excellence and patient safety- No floating outside the Emergency Department; flexibility required across all ED sections- Utilize Cerner documentation system, Baxter pumps, and GE monitoring equipment- Supportive team environment with dedicated techs available for cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing; unit clerks on days and nights- Serve a vibrant, multi-cultural community representing over 120 languages**Requirements:**- Active RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility)- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting- Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC- CPI certification required before date of hire- Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback- Adherence to patient experience standards including AIDET and respectful communication**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This Emergency Department is renowned for its collaborative team culture and welcoming environment, providing world-class emergency care in a regionally recognized healthcare system.
