**Exciting Opportunity in CVICU Nursing!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Nashville, TN - **Unit Name:** CVICU - **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - **Cost Center:** 653/64125 **Unit Specifics:** - Number of Beds: 16 - Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients - Staffing Description: - Free floating charge nurse available - Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech on M-F 0730-1530 - Student Nurse Externs assisting on variable shifts - Equipment: - Phillips bedside telemetry monitors - Hill-Rom beds - Alaris IV pumps - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling Requirements: - 2 weekends/month - 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) - 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) - Floating Policy: C/L employees float to other ICUs as needed - Patient Experience Requirements: None specific **Hiring Profile:** - **Requested Skill Set:** - Strong critical care experience, including CVICU - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring - Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS - Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, etc. **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS **Dress Code:** - Scrubs: black, red, or galaxy blue - Scrub jackets/vests only **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Please see attached unit specific policies and guidelines **Awards/Recognition:** - HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner - Daisy Award Recipient **Additional Information:** - 16 bed CVICU with 5 full-time surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries - Specializing in post-operative cardiac surgery care and devices - Intensivist assigned to unit 24/7 - Strong, driven team of nurses with excellent teamwork **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
