Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced ICU / Critical Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. Earn competitive weekly compensation with a 48-hour schedule while providing advanced critical care in an 8-bed unit.
ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Gross Weekly Pay: $3,400
Location: Aberdeen, SD
Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Schedule: 4x12 Day/Night Rotation | 48 HOURS/WEEK
Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 for critical care patients
Unit: 8-Bed Critical Care Unit
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holidays: Rotating coverage
On-Call: None
Floating: May float to Med/Surg or Pediatrics based on census
Charting: Epic
Scrubs: Navy blue
WEEKLY COMPENSATION | 48 HOURS
Gross Weekly Pay: $3,400
Taxable Weekly Pay: $2,133
Non-Taxable Weekly Stipends: $1,267
Scheduled Hours: 48 HOURS PER WEEK
Overtime: Listed after 48 hours per week, subject to applicable law and assignment terms
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care / CCU nursing experience
Active South Dakota or Compact RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and critically ill patients
Competency with ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and IABP
Ability to care for adolescent (16+) through geriatric patients
Willingness to rotate between day and night shifts
Availability for every-other-weekend and holiday coverage
Preferred:
Previous Med/Surg, Pediatric, or Emergency Department experience
CCRN or TNCC certification
Additional Information:
Critical care ratios are typically 1:1-2; Med/Surg overflow ratios may be 1:4.
Candidates residing within 80 miles may qualify for a local pay package.
Previous employees must have at least a 6-month separation before submission.
Travelers may float to Med/Surg or Pediatrics when critical care census is low.
