Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 16-week contract position.
Schedule
4x10 Hour Days (07:00 - 17:30) with one scheduled late shift per week (10:00 - 20:30).
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day shift position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in advanced cardiac care and possess excellent critical thinking skills. This role requires commitment to on-call responsibilities in addition to routine patient care duties in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Cath Lab for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Assist in performing various cardiac procedures, including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Pacemaker insertions.
- Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergency situations.
- Ensure sterilization and aseptic techniques in the lab environment.
- Work collaboratively with the cardiology team and support staff in patient management.
- Participate in patient education regarding cardiac care and post-procedure recovery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab setting.
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- CPI certification required (to be obtained on-site during orientation).
- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
