Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse in Salisbury, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs looking to work in a dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab environment. With a focus on providing high-quality care, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients undergoing interventional radiology and invasive cardiology procedures.

**REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:**

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab and IR experience required
• Unit will accept 1st-time travelers
• Skills: Scrub, Circulate, Telemetry
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

**PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:**

• Skills: IV Start, Triage, PA Lines, Conscious Sedation

**JOB DETAILS:**

• Target Ratios: 1:3-4
• All staff practice weekly rotation providing procedure coverage for all services listed.
• 24/7 call coverage for STEMI/emergent/urgent IR and cardiology procedures.
• Call Requirement: Weekday call from 16:00-07:30 the next morning; Weekend call from Friday 16:00 until Monday at 07:30.
• Expect urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures.
• Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type.
• Call team consists of three staff members, one of which is an RN.
• No float requirement.
• Weekend requirement: Twice a week for two weeks in the month, one call weekend (Friday night-Monday morning) per month, and one week following call weekend with no call.

**PATIENT DIAGNOSES:**

The department consists of interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and EP device implant procedures. The split is 85% IR and 15% invasive cardiology.

**SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:**

• MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, Angio Jet, Pneumbra Thromblis System, CSI, Atherectomy System, Bovi System for Implant, Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit

**UNIT SYSTEMS:**

EPIC

**UNIT ORIENTATION:**

16 hours of orientation provided.
