Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit with a focus on cardiovascular care, located in the designated region. This position involves caring for patients in a specialized Heart Failure Intensive Care Unit who are experiencing acute heart failure conditions leading to heart transplants and ventricular assist device (LVAD) support. The role requires expertise in managing patients with complex cardiac conditions, utilizing advanced interventions such as IMPELLA and intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), and Swan Ganz catheter experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Driver's License or State ID, UHS Skills Checklist, UHS Prior Employment Form, and UHS Submission Packet Checklist/Testing. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred; no experience minimum stated.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with critical care cardiac patients, proficiency with IMPELLA, IABP, and Swan Ganz catheter management.
- Additional Information: The position involves assessing and providing advanced cardiac critical care, including continuous hemodynamic monitoring, administering complex medication regimens, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
