Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Critical Care
Contract: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience

Fresh-heart experience: Mandatory; experience caring for fresh postoperative cardiac surgery patients is required.

Travel experience: Previous travel nursing experience required.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.

EMR: Epic experience required.

Unit Capacity: 6 beds

Patient Diagnoses: Cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).

Floating: Required.
-
On-call: Not required.

Candidate Types: Local and travel nurses accepted.

Radius Rule: 75 miles; local candidates within the radius are accepted at a reduced rate.

Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours and weekly OT after 48 hours, based on the specified multiplier.

Rate Negotiation: Not permitted.
Must-Have Requirements

Active RN license valid for New York practice.

At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Fresh-heart postoperative cardiac patient experience.

Previous travel nursing experience.

ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Epic proficiency.

Availability for 12-hour night shifts and willingness to float.
