Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for assigned patients while coordinating with the healthcare team. The role provides evidence-based care, supports patient and family education, and promotes safe, effective, and equitable clinical outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, a temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; 23 years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience; at least one year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months in the specialty area; ability to maintain clinical competencies through annual validation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree; professional certification; additional related education or experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient care.
- Reviews diagnostic and laboratory information and communicates abnormal findings to appropriate caregivers.
- Coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Delegates and supervises nursing care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel.
- Supports patient education, discharge planning, orientation, mentoring, and quality improvement activities.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching in a direct patient care environment.
- May require lifting up to 75 pounds and using proper body mechanics to assist with patient transfers.
- Assignment dates are 01/04/2027 through 04/03/2027.
