Wound Care Therapist – RN or PT
Facility: White Plains Hospital
Location: 20 Davis Avenue, White Plains, NY
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time | Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $53,200 – $79,900
Position Overview
The Wound Care Therapist is responsible for providing wound care services within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT). This role focuses on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of disabilities, injuries, diseases, and other health-related conditions through appropriate therapeutic interventions.
The Wound Care Therapist utilizes a variety of physical, chemical, and mechanical treatment methods to support patient recovery, promote healing, and improve overall patient outcomes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and help prevent disabilities, injuries, diseases, and other health-related conditions.
- Provide wound care interventions within the scope of practice of nursing or physical therapy.
- Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques, including heat, cold, light, air, water, sound, electricity, massage, mobilization, and therapeutic exercise.
- Perform and interpret tests and measurements to assess pathophysiological, pathomechanical, and developmental deficits of human systems.
- Utilize assessment findings to determine appropriate treatment approaches and assist with diagnosis and prognosis.
- Incorporate assistive devices and therapeutic interventions as appropriate to patient needs.
Experience & Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
