Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology Phone Triage PRN

Inova Schar Cancer Institute is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. This is a PRN position working Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 or 8:30 - 5:00. Our Cancer Institutes are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00. We are closed on the weekends and there are no night shifts or on-call hours! Phone Triage Registered Nurse for the Oncology Clinics with our Inova Schar Cancer Institute. This is a fully remote PRN role. The Registered Nurse provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. Consistently provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Determines processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration. Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions Develops plan of care Works with the interdisciplinary team to assist adult patient to meet treatment goals Experience Required: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); Licensure - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment. Special Skills - Proficient in English. Proficient computer skills required.
