Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond to emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow hospital protocols.
- Communicate with patients’ families regarding care and treatment plans.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with infection-control standards.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous PICU experience preferred or required, depending on facility criteria.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Strong pediatric assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment.
