Job Summary
NYC Health + Hospitals / Kings County Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care, assist with cardiac procedures, and train and mentor nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patients and support conscious sedation.
- Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.
- Precept and train staff members in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Follow clinical protocols and maintain patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Active New York State RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills.
Preferred: Master's degree in Education.
