Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a telemetry unit that specializes in Med/Surg. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in telemetry nursing and will be able to provide exceptional patient care.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Telemetry
- Shift Length: 12 Hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Average Patients per Day: 8-16
- Primary Facility: Tacoma, WA
- Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to nearby locations as needed.
Shift Details
- Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: None
- On-Call Requirements: Standby basis
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Required Certifications: BLS Certification, Washington State RN License
- Essential Skills: Strong background in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
Additional Information
The unit is responsible for boarding patients awaiting room availability in the hospital. Registered Nurses are expected to monitor their own telemetry and collaborate effectively with a charge nurse and house supervisor.
All interested candidates should have excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to handle a fast-paced healthcare environment.
