Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Telemetry Unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while working a flexible schedule that includes night shifts and weekend rotations.
Schedule Details
- 12-hour night shifts
- Working three shifts per week
- Every other weekend requirement
- Holiday requirement based on unit needs
Orientation and Training
All new hires will participate in a comprehensive orientation program that consists of:
- Two days of orientation at the designated campus
- Ongoing training specific to the unit
- Virtual training for electronic health record management
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing patient care in the Telemetry Unit
- Monitoring and managing cardiac drips and telemetry services
- Initiating and managing protocols for cardiac medication such as Tikosyn and Sotalol
- Floating to all acute care units as necessary
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of recent telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with TR Band, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem) preferred
- Familiarity with the Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation process
- Graduates are not accepted; candidates must have prior experience
Licensure and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in Kansas required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Additional Information
- This facility is a nicotine-free environment.
- One shift can be canceled by the facility every two weeks at no cost.
- Minimum two-hour notice will be provided for any shift cancellations.
