Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nursing professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Schedule and Hours
- Start Date: October 4
- Schedule: Every Monday
- Shift: 12 hours, 7 AM - 7:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Floating Requirement: May float to Glenbrook, Skokie, or Highland Park
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
- Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 within a 29-bed unit.
- Manage common diagnoses including Neurosurgery, Urology, Orthopedic, Surgical overflow, and Telemetry/Medsurg.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Record and monitor patient progress and provide patient education.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Possession of a valid RN license in Illinois.
- Current certifications in CPR and ACLS.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred.
- Completion of a passed EKG test with an 80% score or higher is required.
- New graduates will not be considered for this position.
Additional Information
This is a 12-week contract position with non-billable orientation hours totaling 16. Payroll is processed bi-weekly.
