Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
General Information
This position is located in Bowling Green, KY in a Telemetry unit.
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum ratio of 6:1, may be stretched to 7:1 under certain circumstances.
- Staffing Description: Includes patient care technicians on both day and night shifts, and unit clerks on day shift.
- Equipment Used: Remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.
- Documentation System: Meditech.
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend required.
- Floating Policy: Agency floats first (may float to Orthopedic/Medical-Surgical units).
- Patient Experience Goal: Striving for a 75% patient satisfaction rate.
Certifications Required
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Certification
Hiring Profile
Requested Skill Set
- Must have telemetry experience.
- Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of chest tubes and training in dysrhythmias.
- Procedures performed on unit: Chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
Dress Code
Any scrubs are acceptable, except for camouflage patterns.
