Job Summary
Telemetry (Tele) Nurse - Nights - Location not specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a neuroscience unit, including patients with cerebrovascular accidents, neurosurgical conditions, and traumatic brain injuries. The role demands proficiency with NIH scale assessments and experience caring for neurological diagnoses.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: - 6 months of neuro experience required. - Valid state license; compact license must be in hand at submission. - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. - Minimum of 6 months neuro experience required. - 1 year of total healthcare experience preferred.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Candidates must be willing to float between units based on hospital needs and work every other weekend, with the possibility of holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and others.
- Special Unit Details: Designated stroke unit that is thrombectomy capable with JCAHO designation. Experience with neuro-specific equipment and procedures such as BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, and neurosurgical pre/post care is required.
- Application Requirements: Candidates must include responses to specific submission questions about prior experience at Providence facilities and provide two references covering one year within the last three years.
