Job Description
The Registered Nurse in Telemetry will provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions, ensuring that all clinical needs are met. Nurses will utilize their skills in a telemetry unit, monitoring patients for cardiac changes and intervening as necessary. The role requires utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) technology and adhering to facility protocols.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the telemetry unit, including monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
Required Experience
Must possess relevant nursing experience in a telemetry or critical care setting. Experience with electronic medical records is also required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
- Dysrhythmia recognition testing must be completed by the start of the assignment.
