Job Summary
Telemetry position on the night shift. The role supports care for lower-acuity patients, including individuals receiving wound care, rehabilitation, or long-term antibiotic therapy. The position requires independent practice, flexibility to support the emergency department when needed, and the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage selected intravenous infusions.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; active license required for submission; prior travel experience required.
- Schedule: Night shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides care for lower-acuity patients with conditions that may include atrial fibrillation, cellulitis, severe wounds, falls, and patients requiring wound care, rehabilitation, or long-term antibiotics. The role may require floating between acute care and the emergency department, reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms independently, performing electrocardiograms, administering breathing treatments, and assisting with bilevel positive airway pressure. No call or standby requirement. Orientation consists of 12 shifts with a preceptor. Weekend coverage is typically four weekend shifts during a four-week period, and participation in holiday rotation may be required. Any color of scrubs is acceptable.
