Job Summary
The location is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 36-hour night shift assignment at a medical telemetry unit. This role involves providing specialized patient care for individuals with cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal conditions. The RN will be responsible for interpreting telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: M/S Tele RN 36hrs - Nights & EOW; must be able to read telemetry strips.
- Certifications Required: Current Massachusetts RN License; American Heart Association Certified Basic Life Support.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years working in one location; and 2 years working as a traveler.
- Special Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, Cardiac Drips, Interpret Tele Strips, TR Bands, Hi-Flow Oxygen.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Unit Information: 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit with a patient population including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal cases.
- Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: Nights: 1 to 5/6.
- EMR System: EPIC.
- Additional Requirements: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed.
