Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Telemetry. The position provides cardiac telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute-care setting. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, intravenous therapy, cardiac procedure care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary clinical teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekends may be required based on team needs.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Compact nursing license in hand at submission
- Experience caring for a 1:4 patient ratio
- Experience with electronic health record charting
- Skills in cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drip management without titration, heparin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, peripherally inserted central catheter management, phlebotomy, intravenous therapy, pacemaker care, post-cardiac angiogram care, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, post-myocardial infarction care, pre- and post-hemodialysis management, transradial band care, and wound care
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Provides care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, septicemia or severe sepsis, percutaneous cardiovascular procedures, chest pain, respiratory infections, cardiac arrhythmias, and renal failure. The role may include care following peripheral vascular and aortic endovascular procedures, management of stable acute heart failure requiring cardiac intravenous medications, care for stable cardiogenic shock, pacemaker placement and interrogation, and collaboration with intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
