Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Magnet and Teaching Hospital with a Level I Trauma Center designation. As a Step Down RN, you will play a crucial role in patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Step Down settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, telemetry, and titrate cardiac drips.
- Manage chest tubes and provide comprehensive care for patients transitioning from intensive care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory.
- First-timers are accepted.
- Weekend shifts required every other week.
- Must be willing to float within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Pending licenses are accepted; however, local candidates are not eligible (must reside at least 75 miles from the facility).
- RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
