• Eisenhower Health is a level IV trauma center with 26 operating rooms on campus. 12 operating rooms are located in the main hospital, one of which is a hybrid vascular and cardiac suite. Eisenhower Health covers a range of specialties, with the largest being Cancer care, Orthopedics, and Cardiac.

o 12 Operating Rooms in the main hospital
o 6 Operating Rooms in outpatient Same Day Surgery
o 8 Operating Rooms in outpatient Orthopedics
o 3 procedure rooms in outpatient GI
o 4 procedure rooms in outpatient Pain Management
o The expectation is that you could float to all of these units

o Laminectomy/discectomy, Laparoscopic assisted cases, ORIF shoulder, hip, humerus, Spinal Fusion, Total hip replacement, Total knee replacement
o Robotics: Cardiothoracic robotic surgery, Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Da Vinci Robotics, Da Vinci SP Surgical System, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Gastrointestinal robotic surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Mako Surgical system, Neurological robotic surgery, Orthopedic robotic surgery, Urologic robotic surgery
o Amputations
o Urology: Cystoscopy, Laparoscopic Assisted cases, Lithotripsy/Ultrasonic Lithotripsy/ESWL, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, TURP
o Case cart, Crash cart, Drills (multiple types), Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords
o Special First Assist Skills: Apply tourniquet as ordered, Assist to secure drainage system to tissue, Clamping/cauterizing vessels or tissues, Cut Tissue, Counting sponges & related items with circulating nurse, Digital manipulation of tissue, Direct digital pressure, Insert drainage tubes, Manipulation of surgical materials (loops, tags), Suctioning, irrigation, sponging, Suturing all wound layers including muscle and fascia, Tying/ligation clamped vessels or tissues, Wound dressing; liquid or spray
o Professional Knowledge & Skills: Aseptic Technique, Instrument Processing, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Laser Safety, Management/lead experience, Sterilization/Disinfections

o ACLS
