RNFA – Registered Nurse First Assistant

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) scrubbing and circulating experience
Schedule: 4×10-hour shifts or 3×12-hour shifts
On-Call Requirement: Approximately 8 days during a 6-week schedule, with call distributed evenly among RNFAs
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with strong surgical assisting skills and extensive Operating Room experience. Candidates must be proficient in robotic surgery and multiple surgical specialties, with demonstrated experience in both scrubbing and circulating in the OR.
Required Experience and Clinical Skills

Minimum 3 years of OR scrubbing and circulating experience.

Proficiency in robotic surgery.

Experience in bariatric surgery.

General surgery and colorectal surgery.
-
Orthopedic and spine surgery.
-
Vascular surgery.
-
Urology.
-
Gynecology.
-
Ability to support surgeons and the surgical team throughout procedures.

Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and patient safety protocols.
Schedule and On-Call Requirements
Candidates may work either 4×10-hour shifts or 3×12-hour shifts.
On-call responsibilities are estimated at approximately 8 days per 6-week scheduling period, with call shared evenly among RNFAs.
Kidney Call Rotation

Monday–Friday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Saturday and Sunday: 24-hour call, 6:00 AM – 6:00 AM.

Med Ninjas Job ID #19548. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
