Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in South Dakota
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care nursing experience; Medical-Surgical or telemetry experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and care-coordination skills

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Monitor adult patients with telemetry needs and promptly identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders, policies, and nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate acute-care patient care
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, responses to care, and clinical updates accurately in Epic
• Practice within the applicable Nurse Practice Act, professional standards, and scope of licensure
