Position Overview
NuWest is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an immediate night-shift travel contract in a long-term care setting in Broadus, Montana. The ideal candidate is an independent, dependable nurse who delivers quality resident care and works well as part of a small, hands-on team.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer scheduled medications and treatments during evening and early-morning medication passes, and prepare supplies for the following day shift
- Monitor resident health status, and respond to changes in condition or needs
- Conduct regular resident rounds to promote safety and well-being, and ensure CNAs complete their required rounds
- Assist CNAs with call lights, toileting, and direct resident care as needed
- Complete accurate resident charting and shift reports per facility policy
- Check insulin expiration dates and medication refrigerator temperatures per monitoring protocols
- Complete the next-day staffing sheet and secure the building overnight
- Perform other routine nursing duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license eligible for practice in Montana
- Long-term care nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work independently on the night shift
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
