Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a meaningful long-term contract in Nashville working with a population that truly needs you? Cell Staff is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Disability and Aging to place two RNs at a residential community homes program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Opportunity
This is not a typical hospital floor role. You will be providing direct nursing care to adults with IDD in a residential community home setting in Nashville, working with a population that relies on skilled, compassionate nurses for their daily medical needs. If you have experience with medically complex patients and want a stable, schedule-driven one-year contract with a consistent team, this is a strong fit.
Position Details
Location: Nashville, TN (on-site)
Setting: Residential community homes, adults with IDD
Schedule: 3 days per week, every other weekend required
Shift options: Day shift 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM or Night shift 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 1 year
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Local pay: $45.00/hr
Travel pay: $1,680.00/week gross ($25.00/hr taxable base plus per diem stipends)
What You’ll Do
- Provide nursing care and administer medications per physician orders and protocol
- Perform BLS, CPR, and emergency responses
- Conduct vital signs, blood glucose checks, aspiration assessments, and clinical evaluations
- Perform catheter insertion and removal, colostomy care, wound care, and specimen collection
- Administer bolus medications and assist with ADLs including bed baths and diaper changes
- Document all care, medications, and interventions in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and caregivers on self-care and health maintenance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
What We’re Looking For
- Active, unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or NLC multistate privilege
- Experience with IDD, long-term care, or medically complex patient populations
- Proficiency across a broad clinical skills set including hospice care, acute and rehabilitative care, and hands-on patient care
- Comfortable working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Day or night shift availability with every other weekend required
