PCU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent progressive care or comparable acute-care Registered Nurse experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and float to other units or nearby affiliated campuses as needed
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Progressive Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to progressive care patients, including those requiring close monitoring and elevated levels of clinical support
• Assess patients, identify changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, laboratory results, and other clinical indicators
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate individualized patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic
• Support care delivery across designated progressive care units and float assignments as required
• Promote a respectful, patient-centered culture and function as an integral member of the core nursing team
