RN, Pediatric Medical Floor Colorado Springs. This 14-week travel assignment supports pediatric medical-surgical care on 12-hour night shifts. The role requires strong pediatric clinical competency, critical thinking, organization, time management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Two years of pediatric medical-surgical experience
- Electronic medical record experience within the last year
- Strong critical-thinking, time-management, and organizational skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Team-oriented approach
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Assignment dates are 12/01/2026 through 03/06/2027.
- Float areas may include the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Emergency Department behavioral health, Emergency Department helping hands, and SPARC-E.
- Four weekend shifts are required within each four-week period.
- No on-call requirement.
- Requested time off is limited to four days or fewer.
- Requested time off blackout dates are 11/25/202611/27/2026, 12/23/202612/26/2026, and 12/30/202601/02/2027.
- Availability to work two of the three holidays is required.
- The role requires flexibility, dependability, the ability to ask questions when unfamiliar with procedures, and willingness to assist team members as needed.
- The unit has a fast patient turnover and may admit 1215 patients during a day or night shift.
- Resource and charge nursing responsibilities do not include a patient assignment.
